Kathy Sandoval is the Founder and Creative Director of Celestial House Publishing and creator of Constellation.

 

Raised closely by her maternal grandparents while both of her parents worked, Kathy spent much of her childhood surrounded by conversations about religion, morality, spirituality, human nature, education, and career. Those teachings and early experiences deeply shaped the person she is today and later became part of the philosophical and emotional foundation behind this book series.

Growing up between California’s Central Coast and the Bay Area, Kathy developed an enduring fascination with human behavior, spiritual symbolism, emotional contradiction, and the unseen forces that shape perception, identity, and belief. Later experiences within highly structured professional environments expanded that curiosity into a deeper exploration of organizational behavior, institutional design, and the systems that influence human decision-making. Together, these interests became the emotional, philosophical, and mythological framework of the book series a story that waited twelve years before finding its way back to the page.

Rather than approaching storytelling through traditional fantasy structures, her work focuses on convergence: the body recognizing what the mind cannot fully explain, intimacy behaving like destabilization, and emotional gravity functioning as a force capable of disrupting entire systems of control.

 

Her stories often explore the tension between recognition and understanding the idea that memory, identity, and the body may recognize truths long before the mind can explain them.
