About the Author
Kathy Sandoval is the Founder and Creative Director of Celestial House Publishing and the creator of the Constellation series.
Raised in California by hardworking parents and grandparents who shared in her upbringing, Kathy grew up surrounded by conversations about religion, morality, spirituality, human nature, education, and purpose. Those early discussions cultivated a lifelong curiosity about the invisible forces that shape identity, belief, memory, and human behavior—questions that would later become the philosophical and emotional foundation of her writing.
Growing up between California's Central Coast and the Bay Area, she developed an enduring fascination with emotional contradiction, spiritual symbolism, and the complex relationship between perception and reality. Years spent in highly structured professional environments, together with her own personal experiences, deepened that curiosity into an exploration of systems, institutions, relationships, and the forces that influence human decision-making.
The idea for Constellation first came to her more than twelve years ago. Although life delayed its completion, the story never left her. When she finally returned to it, the novel had become more than a work of fiction—it had become a way to process experience, transform adversity into creativity, and explore questions that had remained with her for years.
Rather than following traditional fantasy conventions, Kathy approaches storytelling through emotional convergence: moments when the body recognizes what the mind cannot yet explain, when intimacy destabilizes certainty, and when unseen forces quietly reshape entire worlds.
Her stories explore the space between recognition and understanding, asking whether memory, identity, and the human spirit can perceive truths long before the mind is ready to accept them.
Today, Kathy continues to expand the Constellation universe while pursuing her legal education at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Through every story she writes, she hopes readers will discover not only extraordinary worlds, but also reflections of their own questions, resilience, and capacity for hope.
